Top ten fictional baes.

Please note: this list is subject to change, due to the fact that I am gaining more and more fictional baes literally every time I turn a page. I limited it specifically to on-page baes, too. If I had to make a top 10 of all my fictional baes, I would implode.

I know that you guys don't want me to implode.... right?

I also have this problem where, I can't exactly comprehend how I love these characters, I just know that each and every one of them have a very special place in my heart.

Honestly, there isn't even really a theme, or anything they have in common. Well. I'm a sucker for the underdog, the villain who is really a victim, the misunderstood, and the ones who really just need a warm fire, a blanket, and a cup of tea with lots of snuggles. So I guess that's my theme. All of these characters just need to have the life cuddled right out of them.

I tried to find artwork of them, but then I ended up staring at pictures of Bucky Barnes for an hour, and I thought it would be best if I just left it up to your imagination.

01 - Bucky Barnes

Captain America Comics

Listen. Bucky Barnes is always, and will always be my number one fictional Bae. No, I haven't read all of the Cap comics. Yes, I have mostly only seen the films. But he counts as a fictional bae, and a literary one because his story was a work of writing. There is not a single character I will ever love more than James Buchanan Barnes, and if you need more reasons than just "I love him" please, let me know. I'd be glad to discuss further and/or fangirl with you.

02 - Sirius Black

Harry Potter Series - JK Rowling

If you know anything about me, you know that Sirius Black is my number one bae for life, will defend him to the death, my whole sun, moon and stars revolve around him. I don't even really have a good reason -- I have a million of them, and I really can't take up that much space on this post. If you haven't read the Harry Potter books and immediately fell in love with Sirius, I don't know what you're doing with your life.

03 - Jamie Fraser

Outlander Series - Diana Gabaldon

Jamie Fraser is a great bae to have. Like, he is just a great bae.

"I love ye, and I'm glad you're no' dead."

04 - Aragorn

Lord of the Rings trilogy - JRR Tolkien

Now. I have a confession. I've only seen the LOTR movies, I've never read the books. HOWEVER that doesn't mean that Aragorn can't be one of my baes. When he's on the screen, I felt like everything was going to be fine, and I have a sense of calm that washes over me. I'm going to commit to reading the books, and then I'll get back to you with more reasons I love him, I'm sure.

05 - Pasha

Crown's Game - Evelyn Skye

I am 100% team Pasha. Not in the "I want him to get with Vika" way, but in the "I just want to love him forever where I don't feel that way about Nikolai" way. I love Pasha more than a lot of other fictional characters, and I don't even really have a set reason, I just know that he jumped out of Crown's Game and into my heart and I've loved him ever since. The best part was that I still loved him throughout the entirety of Crown's Fate too. There was never a point where my love was lessened.

06 - Elias

Ember in the Ashes - Sabaa Tahir

I really can't think of a reason, I just really love Elias. I love his history and who he is, and what he stands for.. I don't know, he's just a great character and I really love him.

07 - Tariq

One Thousand Splendid Suns - Khaled Hosseini

“Tariq tucked the gun into the waist of his denims. Then he said a thing both lovely and terrible. "For you," he said. "I'd kill with it for you, Laila."

Do I need to say anything more?

08 - Carlos Fuentes

Rules of Attraction - Simone Elkeles

I think, if I'm honest, Carlos Fuentes was my first, real, fictional bae. I love his character. I love that he has this arrogant, ass-holeish type of personality that's just a front for how he really is. I love that he's thrown into this world that he hates, and then finds out that it's not as bad as he thinks. I love that he falls in love with the complete opposite of what he wants. I've read this book probably eight times, and every time I read it, I fall more in love with him.

09 - Peter Pevensie

Chronicles of Narnia - CS Lewis

If you can read the Narnia books without falling in love with Peter, let a girl know how you did it because I'm generally in pain when I think about how much I love him.

10 - Khalid

Wrath in the Dawn - Renee Ahdieh

My friend Ryann used to tease me because I love him and he's technically a murderer, but then she read the book and she understands. He's not a murderer, he's misunderstood. And he's incredible. His character is incredible. I love him.
